50th Anniversary Celebration

May 22, 2016 is a special day for the Pasadena Opera Guild.

We are highlighting our 50th Anniversary Celebration

first, by acknowledging the 2016 Benefit

and then by announcing the winners of the 2016 Annual Artist Awards Competition. This year, the awards go to four talented young singers who are about to embark on a career in opera.

Also, we are delighted to have two of our former Awards Competition winners who are already on the world stage, Janai Brugger and Malcolm MacKenzie, perform their favorite arias.

Then lastly, we are celebrating a very Happy Golden 50th Birthday

Welcome

POG-LogoIn 1969, the Guild was started to help young singers pursue their careers in opera. Considered ambitious at the time, today the Guild can look with pride at a list of singers who perform regularly at major opera houses throughout the world.

Throughout the years the Guild ventured into the classroom by offering programs that help young children develop an understanding and appreciation of opera.

Our membership is made up of approximately 75 members who meet on a regular basis at coffee events, luncheons or more often at dinners held at nearby tastefully appointed venues. Here they can enjoy a blend of good conversation, fine food and a program of outstanding opera singing.

For more information or to inquire about membership, please visit our Contact page and we’ll get back to you as soon as we are able.

Sincerely,

M. Helen Baatz, President
